Product Spotlight – August 2022
Hi there 👋
This month, we’ve made it easier for you to review candidates and collaborate with colleagues. On the candidate review side, now you can automatically apply tags to applicants, as well as save segments of candidates who meet certain criteria.
You’ll also be able to share those candidate segments with colleagues–and we’ve improved your ability to collaborate in other ways, too. Now, your interviewers will be able to refer back to the job description for a role in just one click, and job managers will have more control over which messages the rest of the hiring team can see.
Let’s dive in…
Access the job description from the interview page
When preparing to join an interview, your hiring team has always been able to click a link in their calendar invitation to open a special interview page showing the candidate’s resume, the list of interview questions, and the scorecard for the interview. Now, they’ll also see a new tab where they can see the job description for the role. This will allow them to quickly refer back to the requirements for that specific role at any time before, during, or after the interview.
Hide sensitive messages to and from candidates
When viewing a candidate, your hiring team for that role has historically been able to see all of the messages to and from that candidate. But sometimes, these messages contain sensitive information that you might not want the full hiring team to see–such as offer details or demographic information that would typically be hidden by anonymized screening. Now, job managers will be able to flag messages as sensitive if they’d like to hide them from other users, and then reveal them later if the message is no longer sensitive.
Even more updates
In addition to the new features above, now you can also…
- Use custom fields in requisition templates
- Pull onboarding data into your custom reports
- Share and view comments within the onboarding portal for a new hire
- Export the written responses to your Candidate Surveys
A monthly tip from Pinpoint power users...
Collect and track employee referrals by setting up your referral portal. One of your best sources of new candidates are the employees who already work at your organization. By setting up your employee referral portal in Pinpoint, you’ll be able to automate the entire referral process. Track who referred each candidate, keep referrers up to date with the status of their referral, and monitor the results of your referral program over time. Learn how to set it up here.
What else we've been up to
Our Product Manager Dave Edwards visited the 2022 Cintra Conference a few weeks ago to discuss how strong integrations between HR systems make life easier for everyone in the hiring team. Watch the recording here.
And that’s it for this month. We’d love you to get in touch if there’s anything we can help with, or if you have feedback on this latest product update.
